East coast artist Stacey Nichol explores the ways in which we seek to be happier, lighter and more playful. Her antidote is to bring the beauty mystery, mischief and imagination back into our lives while we navigate some hard conversations. Whether it's a picnic, a game of Limbo or a gathering of friends around the card table, Stacey's paintings are at times curious and unpredictable, urging us to ask Why and How and What if. The narratives that ensue are what fuel her work.
