Full bio

Natalie Baxter (b. 1985, Kentucky) explores definitions and perspectives of nationalism, home and place identity, and Americana through sculpture and digital media. Her current soft sculpture works confront issues of gun laws and violence, gender identity, and the current political environment in the US. Baxter’s work has been shown recently at In Ersten in Vienna, A+E Studios in New York, The Wassaic Project in New York, and Institute 193 in Kentucky. Baxter received her BA in Fine Art from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN in 2007 and MFA from the University of Kentucky in 2012 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
