Looking for a new, fun location for your home furnishing needs? Zara Home is launching their first Canadian store tomorrow, August 22, in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Simultaneously, Zara Home will also be launching their on the same date. As well, a second location will be opening in Carrefour Laval in Quebec on August 29. The store will carry a number of home furnishings including bedding, linens, furniture, dishes, and cutlery, along with a homewear and bath and body collection.
This evening you have a chance to bid on objects designed by local Toronto artists. The amazing group of people behind Toronto Design Offsite are hosting their first silent auction to fundraise for their annual indie design festival which happens in January during the city’s design week. Come join the festivities tonight at the Gladstone Hotel from 6-10pm!

So here’s an interesting event happening in Toronto this summer. BLOCKS: T.O is a car-free urban scavenger hunt, where teams explore how Toronto’s architecture has shaped our communities and define our neighbourhoods. Points will be collected as the teams visually document and identify long-standing buildings and locations in the here-and-now. The event allows for its participates to enhance their understanding between generations by exploring architecture, design and urban navigation. This coming weekend Toronto celebrates design through many events and exhibitions in our downtown area. The work displayed ranges from interiors to industrial design and can be seen represented in the Do Design exhibition through various locations along Dundas St west, Come Up To My Room held at the Gladstone Hotel, Radiant Dark located at 859 Dundas St West, and The Interior Design Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
